There are very few brides who have maids all the same shapes and sizes, so it’s often difficult to find a style that compliments varying figures. Try these tips on how work with your maids’ shapes and help them find the perfect style!

Problem Area: Bust

Some think the best way to disguise an ample bust is to cover it up, but this can often make the bust appear even bigger! Ask any top heavy maid to put high-neckline style and you will instantly see what we mean. Try instead a slight v-neckline, scoop or sweetheart neckline for busty maids, these options aren’t too revealing and will compliment a busty frame.

Problem Area: Hips

A bottom heavy bride will cringe at the idea of anything too slinky on her bottom half. A chic (and timelessly stylish) A-Line style, is the most flattering for hipppy maids, this style will allow them to show off their waists while skimming over their hips and thighs. An embellished neckline or statement necklace is also a great option for bottom heavy maids, as details like this draw the eye upwards away from their problem area.

Probelm Area: Arms

While strapless styles have been popular for maids for years now, they’re not everybody’s cup of tea. If your maid isn’t that keen on her arms, look for a style with a simple and feminine cap sleeve, or if it’s just the one maid that isn’t keen, give her the option of a matching silk shawl, wrap or even an embellished cardi or jacekt to help make her feel more comfortable and look her best.

Problem Area: Legs

The easiest way to allow your maids a little individuality to their wedding party looks is to allow them to play with their hemlines. This works particularly well if you’ve found a maxi style that you love. Your maids that love their pins can have the dress hemmed to their knee or above, and others can leave the dress full length to hide what they don’t love. Keep in mind that shoes with ankle straps can be very unflattering on, opt instead for a shoe without any ankle strap which will instantly elongate the legs.

While brights are still a favourite among brides for their bridal party, paler shades are a great option to compliment ivory and white wedding gowns.

If you are planning a spring wedding and would like to use a fresh modern color for your bridesmaids, then give some thought to white bridesmaid dresses! Bright white is a very flexible color that can match anything, but it doesn’t mean that your bridesmaids will outshine you on your wedding day. You can accent their dresses with color so your wedding party will beautifully frame your bridal gown, making you look stunning as the center of attention on your wedding day.

White bridesmaid dresses root in the 19th century. As we all know, white symbolizes purity and innocence. But in that era, this color was selected by brides and bridesmaids because it stood for wealth and stature. Lots of people didn’t have the disposable income to afford a garment that’s bound to get dirty and could not be worn again. Thus, females with white Sunday best were undoubtedly noticed in the busy crowd.

If you want something exciting, you can have your bridesmaids wear short pure white dresses and combine it with colored accessories like shoes, jewelry, and flowers. The colors will pop beautifully against the white. For the most dramatic look use long colored necklaces, chandelier earrings and funky hair accessories. You can also add a colored satin bow around the waist to bring a bright splash of color. A narrow ribbon and a simple knot or bow at the side can make a simple difference on a white bridesmaid dress, and a wide taffeta waist wrap will make it look stunning and elegant. If you like flower pins, you can place one on the waist or the bodice. The flowers can be made from silk flowers or fun edgy fabric flowers. There are many different ways to wear and accent white bridesmaid dresses. Just remember that wedding preparation is like any adventure you take, you have to be creative and resourceful to make things work together.

To be honest, most people believe white will never go out of fashion. Even though contemporary trend followers take style more seriously, most of them feel deeply fascinated with the simple, yet inviolable sense on white. In such a nice season, gold and white bridesmaid dresses are released to rule the fashion roost. Ideal color connotation helps girls seem more dignified.
