The ceremony and reception were located in downtown Sacramento at the Antiquite Maison Privee (with the getting ready shots at the Citizen Hotel). Antiquite is a unique event space in a 1920s house with antiques adorning the walls.

They wanted to keep with this décor by collecting old vases, books, and vintage ceramic birds. Neutral tones with pops of fuchsia, teal and golden yellow were seen throughout all the fun details.

For the reception, they served food family style, which they loved because it was easier to keep the food warm and guests can pick what they want to try. Tasty short ribs, apricot chicken, and the most delicious mashed potatoes and vegetables were served throughout the evening.

Their favorite food item: sliders and sweet potato appetizers served in cute individual trays! In keeping with the yummy meal theme, they opted for a delicious dessert bar so guests could pick their favorites. Levi and Allison’s favorite detail from their wedding was the dancing. The dance floor was packed all night and our guests called for an encore at the end of the night!

As you preparing the wedding invitations, there are many things that needed your attention. From the designs, theme, colours to the choice of wordings, these are essential areas that should be taken into consideration. However, most people have overlooked the importance of the envelope for the invitations. It is the first thing that the guest will see before reading the invitation card inside. Since it creates first impression, you have to make sure it gives a good one to the people that you sent to.
The envelope should be match to the wedding invitations designs, theme and colour. The guests will be delighted to receive a beautifully adorned invitation from you. While you may be planning for a simple envelope that is void of designs and extra decorations, you could still choose a colour that matches your wedding theme. The quality of the envelope should be good. You should avoid going too cheap on this as it also serves as a protective covering during the process of mailing. If the envelope is of bad quality and easily torn, it may cause damage to the card inside.

Another thing to remember when preparing the envelopes for the wedding invitations is including correct information. You have to make sure that the names of the guest and his or her address is being spelled correctly and there is no error in it. It certainly shows disrespect and insincerity if there is error in these matters. The postage stamps and costs should also be appropriate as it will be a great embarrassment should you fix insufficient postages on the envelope. Your guest may feel offended if such thing occurs. Get all the information on right postages and have a proper guest list with full names together with address before you send out the mass invitations.

You have a wedding coming up and there are many things to prepare. Invitations are the very initial things that need to be prepared. There are things to do for planning for the wedding invitations cards.
You have to prepare proper wordings for the wedding invitations. The line to welcome the guest to the event should be conveying the message that the presence of the guest is really looked forward to. Your partner and your name should be spelled correctly. Both parents’ names may be included depending on your preference and mode of the occasion. Information of the date, time, venue and other contact details should be in it. If you want your guest to easily find the venue for your special occasion, you may want to insert the map in the invitations. Another thing to do is to decide the designs and colours for the card. The theme and colour of your wedding could also be incorporated to make it more appealing. There are many designs available for you to choose. Be it simple or elegant, there will be one that you could use. Cards that are handmade and custom made could also be special for your guests to receive and read.
Another thing to do in planning for wedding invitations cards is the estimation number of the guests you intend to invite. This will help you in printing a proper number of cards and not wasting your resources on unnecessary printed invitations which will be tossed or thrown away. Get down to list down the guest names and you will have a proper view on how many people you need to send out the cards. Not all that you intend to invite will make it to your special day but you should not waste on the cards alone even before you send out. Always organise and plan properly.

These days, destination weddings are all the rage. Brides either want to get married in a big city, or on a beautiful beach. With people becoming increasingly mobile, and living in various places before they get engaged, the options can be endless. Brides and grooms are, a lot of the time, from different places, and live in a different place from their parents or siblings. But it is becoming increasingly common to look everywhere OTHER than your hometown for your wedding venue. Sometimes, the perfect venue may be right under your nose—and it doesn’t have to be a “wedding factory”.
If you grew up in a city, what about your favorite restaurant? One of the best things about big cities is access to great food. Also think about your favorite museum. Where did you used to go, growing up, when you needed peace and quiet? Was it a park? An ice cream shop? A library? All of these can be turned into beautiful wedding venues.
If you grew up in a suburb, you might think your only options are run-of-the-mill hotels. But often suburban towns have hidden gems in them. There are quite a lot of historic buildings and smaller museums in suburbs. Or maybe there is a quaint bed and breakfast nearby. Or a lake where you used to swim? A park where you played as a child? Or even your own backyard. Drive around your town and the adjacent towns, especially in any historic areas, to see what catches your eye—you may be surprised at what you find.
If you grew up in the country, you have some wonderful resources available to you! Local farms, orchards, and fields make great wedding venues! A wonderful wedding idea—having it at a pick-your-own farm and giving guests a half hour to pick their own fruit or flowers as favors.

Yes, wedding invitations designs are important as it beautifies the card and gives the impression to others that indeed they are looking forward to attend a wonderful event. However, some couples have gone all the way to splurge and focus on giving great looking cards. The question is should you do the same?
If you have the extra budget to come out with extravagant wedding invites designs, then you could have it as there is no harm in making memories from having a once in a lifetime invitation card. However, you should also keep focus on the other important things at the same time. The other thing to do is the wordings for the card. You need to come out with good constructed sentences and words that directly inform guests to the special event. Make sure the words have the tone of good mannerism and not commanding others to attend. You will need to check spellings and information stated. All these are much more essential than the designs of the invitations. You should get this done first before focusing on giving it a beautiful look.
Extravagant wedding invitations designs are not a need but more of a want. It is not a necessity in making a workable card. There are many designs that look elegant and nice without you spending too much on it. In order to get the most from these borders and floral templates for the card, you should research for shops and stores for the best price. Do not settle with the first one you saw but keep on finding more and discuss with your partner on the one that suits the theme and colour of your choice. In the end, bear in mind that while the card deserve much attention, there are other things in a wedding that need to cost much more.

Bridesmaids may not be the bride but they equally deserve to look beautiful. There are many colours to choose and you may have a headache thinking of which one to go for your lovely bridesmaids. First of all you must determine the theme colour you have chosen for your own wedding. This will at least ease you in making the decision. The bridesmaid dresses need not have the exact same colour as your theme. It could be a shade lighter or it could be a totally different colour. As long as it complements one another, it should be fine.
You have to bear in mind of the body sizes and skin tones of your bridesmaids. Selecting colours that do not fit with these factors may bring out an unhappy bridesmaid. Darker colours make people who are large to appear slimmer. White or pale ones will make one looks bigger. Shorter bridesmaid dresses is suitable for those who are shorter. For taller women, both shorter and longer dresses could be worn. If one is slimmer and slender in built, she could carry a full skirt.
If you plan to choose colours like yellow or orange for bridesmaids dresses, you have to make sure it is not the theme colour. Yellow tends to be difficult to match unless you go for pale yellow or gold colours. Likewise orange will make the skin tone appear washed out. So go for another shade of orange that looks softer. Other colours like red, pink, purple, blue and green are usually more used. Whichever one you choose, you must make sure it suits every of your bridesmaids’ body. You could ask their opinions and views on the colour choice and maybe they have some good ideas. You already have much to plan for the wedding. There are times to maximise the help of others and your bridesmaids may contribute in the colours for their own dresses.

While you are planning your wedding, “afterward” seems so unimportant and far away. Why worry about after when there are photographers to book, wedding invitations to send out, and cakes to taste?? But if you make a list early of the things you will need to do after the wedding, it will make it a whole lot easier to do them when the time comes, and you are tired and only want to move on with your married life! Here are some things to remember (especially before your wedding budget runs out):
1. Preserving your dress. Find a place that will clean and preserve your dress. If you are leaving right after your wedding, make a plan to give your dress to a family member who can take it to the cleaners for you.
2. Cleaning up and returning rented items. Did you rent silverware, tablecloths, or any other item? You don’t want to have to worry about that on your honeymoon. Ask a family member to return them for you the next day, so you don’t have to pay an overage charge. If you brought items from home, make sure they get back there as well. Someone will have to take them at the end of the night or the next morning if your venue allows.
3. Preserving your bouquet. Find a website or a local florist who preserves bouquets and arrange for the bouquet to get to the right place before the flowers die. Maybe you want to have them preserved in wax? Or flattened and framed?
4. Thank you cards. These cost money, just like invitations, especially if you are buying 200 of them! Make sure you don’t run out of money before you buy them. If you have time, pre-print address labels beforehand so when you get home from your honeymoon, all you have to do is write the note. It’s okay if the address isn’t handwritten.
5. Freezing your cake. If you want to save the top of your cake for your anniversary, also make arrangements for someone with a freezer available nearby to take it home at the end of the night.

A fun, meaningful and useful activity for you and your fiancé to do before your wedding is to come up with a list of “Rules to Live By” when you are married. Doing this will help resolve any tension you may have from wedding planning, and give you a break from thinking about the details and force you to think bigger picture. “Rules to Live By” are rules that will help you avoid arguments in the future, stay in love, and build a strong relationship as a married couple. Reserve an afternoon just the two of you. Have a date—go to the park, out to dinner, or to the beach. Bring a pen and paper and write your rules together in a beautiful place that will have meaning if you go back there years into your marriage. Here are some examples:
1. Never go to bed angry.
2. Never yell or curse when you are mad.
3. Go for a walk together every night, even if it is just for five minutes.
4. Learn a hobby or sport together, like tennis.
5. Have a glass of champagne together every Friday night.
6. Put a dollar in a jar every day and save for a vacation. After 3 years, you will have saved a thousand dollars.
7. Never place blame.
8. Laugh when things get tough.
9. Remember that the days may be long, but the years are short.
10. Don’t buy what you don’t need.
11. Spend time apart as well as together.
After you make your list, pin it on a bulletin board, on the refrigerator, or on the bathroom mirror—somewhere you will see every day.
